Climate
If you ask people about the climate of Africa nowadays, they are likely to say things like dessert and hot, dry weather. However, it wasn't always like that. Five thousand years ago, Sahara was much more humid but as time passed, frequent droughts pushed people toward the Western African savannas. If this trend continues, and if this is a natural phenomenon, the Saharan region would continue to heat up in the future, leaving concerns.

Landforms
Africa's landform mostly consists of vast plateus, elevated surfaces with flat tops, on ancient rocks. Nile River
The world-famous river, Nile river, runs through the heart of Africa and another note-worthy feature at the tip of the Nile river is the Nile delta. Although the delta area is teeming with vegetation, it has the risk of being carried away in the water. Congo Basin Forest
Second only to the Amazon Forest, the Congo Basin Forest is the heart of the ecosystem both in South Africa and in the whole world. There is a diversity of life found there.
This is a video made by Ho Joon, taken from the movie "Out Of Africa." The movie is about the life in Africa by a Western couple and you are strongly encouraged to watch. This part of the movie is the scene of the landforms of Africa.
Vegetation
Map of Sub-Saharan Africa Habitats
Because of Africa's hot weather, the land consists mostly of tall savanna grass and low, drought resistant trees in the dry areas. In the tropical rain forest areas, Africa holds the highest plant diversity on Earth.

Religions
This is the religion map of sub-saharan Africa. It can be divided into 4 regions: Middle Africa, Eastern Africa, Southern Africa, and Western Africa. In Middle Africa, 81.3 % are Christians, 9.6% Muslim and 8% traditional religions. In Eastern Africa, 62% are Christians, 21.1% are Muslims, and 15.6% are traditional religions. In Southern Africa, 87.6% are Muslims, 9% Christians, and 2.2% Traditional religions. In Western Africa, 48.3% are Muslims and 35.7% are Christians. Islamic religion is generally found in the northern part of Africa because North Africa is connected to the Arabic world. Therefore, religion is a good factor that divides up the continent.
Population
Difference between Europe and Sahara
Unlike most other countries and regions where aging population is a fear, Sub-Saharan Africa is experiencing just the opposite phenomenon, with "two out of every three inhabitants being those under 25 years of age." (EurekAlert)
Meanwhile, these are some of the population pyramids of the countries within Sub-Saharan Africa. as you can see, a common characteristic that they share is the large/ wide base at the bottom. This proves that the infant mortality rate in Sub-Sahara is high. And to explore further, I think one of the main reason there are so few people at the top of the pyramid is because Africa has a generally low age expectancy level. Due to AIDS, it is highly probable that people cannot survive for a very long period of time.
